This installation presents “past” and “future”—two concepts we speak of in everyday life, yet neither actually exists in the present.
By confronting these words, the viewer becomes aware that the past is already gone and the future has yet to arrive, drawing attention toward the only moment that truly exists: now.
Rather than offering an answer or a lesson, the work uses the paradoxical nature of language to provoke questions within the viewer. In the stillness of the space, it creates an opportunity to reconsider this present moment, so easily overlooked in everyday life, and invites each viewer toward their own realization.
本作品は、「過去」と「未来」という、私たちが日常的に語りながらも、実際には存在しない概念を空間に提示するインスタレーションです。
鑑賞者は作品と向き合うことで、「過去はすでに失われ、未来はまだ訪れていない」という事実に気づき、唯一存在する**「今」**へと意識を向けます。
作品は答えや教えを示すものではなく、言葉が持つ逆説性によって、鑑賞者自身の内面に問いを生み出します。静謐な空間の中で、普段見過ごしている**「今、この瞬間」**を見つめ直す機会をつくり、一人ひとりの気づきを促す作品です。
